The Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House, Thank you!

We just wanted to give a shout out and huge thanks to those who came to visit us at our appearance tonight. We truly enjoyed talking to each and every one of you and loved that you guys asked plenty of questions! The Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House is an amazing place and we are honored that they asked us to participate with their Spirit Walk. We even got word that this is the biggest turn out ever! As promised, here’s the video of the evidence we were showing off tonight. We plan to release more evidence over the next few months so be sure to stay tuned!

Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter (subscription  located to your right) to be kept up to date with team events!!

5th Anniversary for PPS

This month and meeting marks the 5th Anniversary for the team and it’s 6th year actively investigating

October 2006, Chris and I embarked on our first event by escorting nearly 30 people around White Oak Cemetery, a now urban legend-like location here in our hometown.

Literally the next day, PPS was founded and we began having “open community meetings” which was met with great success. We never had less than 10 people show up and our best nights averaged 25 people. Unfortunately, as the team grew more mainstream and quickly gained what we called “core members” we had to stop including real-team related discussions at these meetings (i.e. cases, locations, clients) and we eventually stopped the open meetings altogether due to our case load requiring priority.

After that we had monthly team meetings to discuss the various cases and events we were working. We got our first “team clothing” designed for members. And started networking with other teams, even going as far as to attend one particular teams Karaoke Night they did on the side.

Since our formation in 2006, we’ve conducted hundreds of cases and helped dozens of families in need of help with things they couldn’t understand. I’m proud of this team, it’s members both past and present, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for The Paulding Paranormal Society.

Events, Haunted Paulding, and other news.

The Paulding Paranormal Society has been invited to the Paranormal Kicks Cancer event, as featured guest, September 24th, 2011 in Albany, GA.
We’ve decided to screen an early release of our documentary for the event. Shortly after the event we will make the video available for free streaming on Youtube and eventually available on DVD for those who would like to help support the team and possibly see more videos in the future!

We will be making a special appearance as guides and guests at the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House October 22nd, 2011 in Fayetteville, GA.
We’ll be showcasing evidence caught from the 100+ year old house itself as well as assisting in the Spirit Walk held there every year.

The team will also be featured in an upcoming episode of Discover Paulding, on Comcast 23 & 24 as well as Youtube. It’s bound to be an eventful night!

Sorry about the downtime for Haunted Paulding. While I managed to stop a lot of the spam we were still experiencing a lot of it. A new forum system has been implemented that’s guaranteed to be virtually spam free! Unfortunately, this new system didn’t allow me to save the old posts from our system. I’m working on a conversion script that will allow me to add them.

We’re still working on a new layout for the site.

The team will be holding a vote soon regarding team-affiliates. We stopped allowing team affiliates some time ago due to our own case log not giving us the time needed to help assist others with cases they felt needed other bodies.

To a dear friend…

What can you say about someone you’ve known most of your life? Someone you deeply cared for? A brother who hugged you every time you said bye. A guy who would tell his friends he loved them.

Harley may not have made all the right choices in his life but who does? Do you honestly make all the right choices? Of course not. But that doesn’t make you a bad person. Harley was far from a bad person. If he loved you, he would give you anything and everything he had if you asked.

Brother, I will truly miss you.

This just feels like the best outlet for what I’m going through right now. I don’t really care if anyone reads it or not… this is for me, not for them. This is for me to talk about a guy I considered a brother. A guy who would sit down with me and talk about the paranormal, all aspects of the paranormal. Who had crazy, amazing, and some times bizarre ideas about the world and life in general.

Harley, Brother, you will truly be missed.

Keeping You In The Loop

So time for some PPS news,
The White Oak Restoration Project is still in the works. Phase 1 is complete. This involved a basic assessment of the grounds and cleaning up of the land. We also cut grass, recrossed some crosses, and other things of this nature. Phase 2 involves a bit of the same. It’s general maintenance, basically. The wood to some of the crosses were missing so one volunteer managed to get their hands on some lumber we could use. Our hope is to have White Oak restored to something we can be proud of by this time next year.

The documentary is still in the works. We’ve filmed a few locations already and are awaiting return visits there. We’re still contacting locations as well as scouting our own locations. If you have a place we could get into, that would be comfortable with us filming, investigating, and interviewing eye witnesses please let us know by using the Contact Us form located at the top.

We’re going to have a new site design soon. Keep an eye out for that.

I made a promise to myself and the team last year to do “one big thing” each year. Last year we did the Haunted Euharlee tour and it was met with great success and a generally great response. Halloween is a little more than 3 months away and we’re already cracking ideas on what we can offer you, the public. We have 3 top-running ideas and we’re gathering intel. I’ve got assignments handed out, contact information ready, and we’re waiting to see which of the “Big Three” bite first. I’ve also setup a deadline to let you guys know by the end of this month. So stay tuned!
